The vibration principle of the motor is that an eccentric wheel is added in front of the rotary motor. During the rotation of the motor, during the process, the eccentric wheel moves circumferentially to generate centrifugal force, and the direction of the centrifugal force changes continuously with the rotation of the cam. As a result, the entire motor is rapidly shaking, which eventually causes the toothbrush to vibrate. (As shown below)

Principle: There are two sets of electrodes, the vibrator (the connecting rod of the brush head) is between the two sets of electrodes. By changing the control signal, an alternating current is generated, and the direction and intensity of the magnetic field are changed, so that the vibrator swings at high speed between the plates. The main advantage:


Since the vibration link is suspended in the middle, it is also called a magnetic levitation motor. The physical friction is reduced, and the vibrating component has only the connecting rod, the vibration of the body is small, the noise is very small, and the palm is not numb due to the vibration of the body.

The direction of vibration is only a single linear direction of +X –X, so it is also called linear motor.

Since the vibration connecting rod is controlled, and the energy of the entire vibrating portion is concentrated on the brush head portion, the brushing effect is optimized.

The disadvantage is that the cost is high.

The noise of linear motors is generally small, but the noise is also related to the structural design.


Many people don't pay much attention to noise. But for example, because the state has a standard for air conditioning noise. According to national standards, when the cooling capacity is less than 2500W, the rated noise of the indoor unit cannot be greater than 40 decibels, and the outdoor unit cannot be greater than 52 decibels; when the cooling capacity is 2500W~4500W, the rated noise of the indoor unit cannot be greater than 45 decibels, and the outdoor unit cannot be larger than 55 decibels. This is the minimum standard that air conditioning products must meet.


Therefore, for long-term use, noise is also a key factor in evaluating the quality of toothbrushes.
